Most children love sweets and desserts. However, as parents, you have an obligation to feed them healthily, nutritiously and avoid processed foods. Therefore, whenever possible, it is a great idea to offer your child homemade food made exclusively with natural products. For this reason, today we have decided to share with you 3 really delicious baby cake recipes. You can prepare them with the help of your children, spending a fun afternoon with the whole family.

1. A classic: chocolate baby cakes

The first of today’s three recipes relates to what we can define as the “queen” of children’s cakes. It is also one of the favorite sweets for adults, as its main ingredient is absolutely irresistible: chocolate. As you will see, this is an absolutely simple recipe and the final result will make the mouth water of young and old.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of chocolate to blend
  • 3 eggs
  • 9 tablespoons of sugar
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, in order to have it ready for cooking.
  2. Melt the chocolate: break it and then put it in a double boiler or put it in the microwave, first adding a teaspoon of water.
  3. Check the melting of the chocolate and turn it with a wooden spoon, preventing it from burning and helping to create a uniform paste.
  4. Once cooled, add the sugar, melted butter, flour and 3 egg yolks.
  5. Beat the egg whites and add them to the rest of the dough.
  6. Take a mold, grease it with butter and pour the mixture.
  7. Cook for half an hour at 180 degrees.

Once the cake has taken shape, take it out of the oven and let it cool. Finally, with the help of your children, you can decorate it with powdered sugar, dark chocolate shavings or more.

2. Strawberry cheesecake (and no oven)

If you prefer that your little ones do not touch the oven, we have the solution for you. Below we propose a cake recipe for children that does not require the use of the oven but which will be equally successful:

ingredients:

  • 200 g of Philadelphia cheese or similar
  • 500 ml of cream or milk cream
  • 40 g of sugar
  • 1 sachet of unflavored gelatin powder (about 7 g)
  • 150 g of marie biscuits
  • 75 g of butter
  • 500 g of strawberries or other fruit to decorate the cake, such as raspberries, blueberries or blackberries

Preparation:

  1. Crush the cookies: you can put them in a bag and break them up with a small rolling pin.
  2. Melt the butter and mix it with the biscuits until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  3. Cover the bottom of a removable mold with this paste and expand everything well, applying pressure with the help of a spoon.
  4. Put everything in the refrigerator for at least 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the cream, gelatin and sugar and cook everything over low heat, without letting it boil. Turn the mixture with a wooden spoon until it is completely dissolved.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the Philadelphia cheese, mixing well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the mold with the biscuit base and, once cooled, let it rest in the cold for about 6 hours.

As a final step, adorn the top of the cheesecake with the fresh fruit you bought, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or blueberries, depending on your children’s tastes.
