Your child’s birthday is approaching and you don’t know how to entertain him and his friends? Don’t worry, in this article we suggest six very easy games for the little ones’ birthday parties.

Games for children’s birthday parties

1. The game of chairs

One of the simplest and most popular birthday party games is the game of chairs. It consists of placing a few chairs facing outwards in the shape of a circle next to each other. You need to put a chair less than the number of children.

The children will have to go around the chairs while the music plays. When it stops playing, they have to quickly sit down in a chair. In this way, one of the children will be eliminated, having remained without a chair.

2. Treasure hunt

This game requires some preparation before the party starts. It will consist in finding the treasure chest through a series of riddles written on slips of paper, which you will leave in different places in the space where the party is celebrated.

To prepare the riddles, of course, the age of the children must be taken into account. They don’t have to be too difficult, otherwise they won’t know how to solve them, and neither too easy, otherwise the game will end immediately. The treasure chest can hold candy or a small gift for each child, depending on the option you want to choose.

3. Sack Race

Children love to be in constant motion, so sack racing will be one of the easiest games to play  at children’s birthday parties.

For this game you will of course need some bags that the children can slip into. In groups or in couples, depending on the number of children participating in the party, they will have to complete a certain path by jumping inside the sack.

Once they have completed the back and forth path, it will be their teammate’s turn to do the same thing. The team or couple that does it in the least amount of time will be the winner.

4. Carry the egg

This game is very popular with children as it is “risky”. To play you will need as many spoons as there are children and some eggs.

We advise you to boil the eggs before the party starts, so that the children don’t get very dirty, but without them knowing, to keep the excitement going.

As a couple or in a group, one of the children will have to carry the egg using only a spoon. He will have to put it in his mouth from the handle end, make a round trip and pass the egg to his partner. If the egg falls on the way, the team will have to start over.

5. The handkerchief game

This is one of the easiest games to play at children’s birthday parties as you will only need a handkerchief. Put the children in a circle. One of them will be the keeper of the handkerchief and will walk around his companions, who will be sitting on the floor with their eyes closed singing a song.

At that point, the handkerchief guardian child will say a number from 1 to 12 and leave the handkerchief behind one of his companions. After counting, the children have to open their eyes and turn around to see who got the handkerchief.

The chosen child must get up and run to catch the guardian. If he succeeds, the guardian will continue to be the child he was before. If he fails, he will become the new guardian himself.

The pinata is one of the funniest moments of a birthday party. You will just need to buy one and fill it with sweets and candies.

You will have to blindfold the child celebrating his birthday, who will try to break it with his eyes closed, making a cascade of sweets fall to the ground.
