How many things to buy to welcome the baby on the day of birth

When wondering how many things to buy for the birth of the child, we must think above all of those necessary for the birth itself.

The need for the hospital is not much, since the stay is, in most cases, short.  However, the following articles cannot be forgotten:

Disposable or washable diapers

Parents need to consider that a newborn baby consumes a lot of diapers. On average, a newborn needs 9-12 diapers per day.

So calculate the amount of nappies you will use in the hospital for at least two days.

A cotton or wool blanket

This type of article must always be chosen very carefully. You should buy a cover made from hypoallergenic materials.

Body

The most suitable garments to dress the child are leotards. The bodysuits in fact cover the body well and allow it to maintain an ideal temperature.

In cotton they are perfect. This garment can be accompanied by a cap and extra socks. It is advisable to bring at least three leotards with their accessories to the hospital.

Wet wipes

This product is the right hand of parents. Wet wipes are extremely useful not only at the time of diaper changes but for many other things as well.

Considering an average of 10 diaper changes per day at the hospital, we recommend that you bring a pack of 40 wipes.

Powdered milk for babies

It is best for the baby to receive breast milk as the first food. However, there are cases when the mother fails to produce it in the first few days after birth.

While it rarely happens, it’s best to be prepared for this and pack a bottle of infant formula and two bottles in your hospital suitcase .

Car seat

Once the days of hospitalization set by the doctors have passed, it is time to go home.  The safety of the child becomes a priority. For this reason, during your first car journey it must be placed comfortably in your child seat, in the back seat. The mother, of course, will be able to travel alongside him in order to meet any of his needs.

As for the house, the child’s room must be organized according to his needs. And also to make everyday tasks easier  for parents  .  Also in this case, with regard to this and other spaces in the house, doubts arise about how many things to buy for the birth of the child.
